Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini Go Live Function at Phulgoan, Pune on 15th December, 2010
Om Sri Sai Ram Nature in her pristine glory at the Phulgaon School, witnessed the preparations for the premier ‘Go Live Ceremony’ of the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini Project. The school swirled with a flurry of activities and the entire environment was lively and enthusiastic. The classroom in which the first value based session was to be delivered to the students was spruced up thoroughly and decorated aesthetically with flowers. Magnificent photographs of Beloved Bhagawan’s smiling face and Abhaya Hasta, adorned the walls. To deliver the value based education with a more technical and animated methodology, the classroom was equipped with a Computer system and its peripherals. Certainly this was the foremost and supremely blessed classroom, to witness a value based education taught in a unique and appealing manner. The technique employed here was the first in the history of Indian Education System. A blessed moment indeed! The Chief Guest Shri Ramesh Sawant - State President of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization Maharashtra & Goa, initiated the ‘Go Live Ceremony’ by lighting the lamp of wisdom, as the hall reverberated with Vedic chants. Then with great delight and pleasure, Shri Ramesh Sawant addressed the congregation. Stating that the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini Program was initiated and blessed by Bhagawan, he made an official announcement regarding the Hari Uddhav Dhotre School at Phulgaon, being the first school in the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini Program to ‘Go Live’ while imparting value based education to the students. The classroom was fully occupied with
around 40 students of class 7th. The entire team of the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya
Vahini Program, along with trained teachers and EHV experts were present at
the session. Starting at exactly 11:30 am with a one-minute-silent-sitting and meditation, the class was initiated by equipping 7th standard students with the subject of Civics as the Curriculum. Animations, Videos, Pictures and other teaching aids were utilised to make Civics simpler, easy to understand, interesting and motivating. The chapter which was taught to the
class was a Marathi translated word document explaining the various aspects
of this particular subject. The chapter was based on “Union Government - The
Execution and the Judiciary". Moral values were embedded in the lesson plan
and it was seamlessly delivered to the students like a regular class. The
EHV experts were continuously observing the progress of the session. With an
intention to make the class an interactive one, a lot of inquisitive
questions were asked by the teacher to the students. |
