Guru Pada Kainkarya Pooja was performed on Sunday, 1st May at Dharmakshetra from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm. .While the two priests chanted Shree Ganesh Prathana, Veda Puspanjali,Purush sooktham, and Narayana Sooktham, the State President, worshiped the gleaming silver Padukas of Bhagawan Baba with offerings of Ganga jal, milk, curd, honey, coconut water, sandalwood and flowers.
This was followed by chanting of Sai Ashtothra. Simultaneously Tulsi Leaves were reverentially placed on the Sai Padhukas.
Later Sai Gayathri was chanted ,when each of the 300 and odd number of
devotees present offered bilva leaves and flowers to the Sai Padhukas. The
priests then performed Aarathi to the Sai Padhukas.
One hour soulful bhajans was sung with great love and devotion by the
devotees. The function came to a conclusion with offering of Mangala Aarthi
and distribution of Prasad .
