PRASANTHI SUNDARA SAI - The Enchanting Indweller of The Abode of Supreme Peace

Ask Bhagawan Baba, “Are you God?” And He says: “Yes, I am God and so are you. The only difference between you and I is that while I am aware of this fact, you are not.” And this is no casual remark. Indeed, inherent in this small, but extremely significant statement, is the fundamental truth of humanity’s divine nature - its true reality; and revivifying the heart of every human being to this salient truth is the mission and message of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. All who listen to Him, experience His unconditional love, benefit from His caring counsel and witness His supernormal supremacy over mind and matter, get a real glimpse of the glory and majesty of God, and therefore, of the infinity that each human potentially and inherently is.

“Here in the Prashanthi Nilayam, no invitation has ever been printed and distributed on any occasion, asking people to come. No one has been specially requested to take part. It is Love, the invitations of the Heart to the heart, that has brought you in tens of thousands to this place. The validity and value of Love are proved by you; Love is the most potent of My powers.”

- Bhagawan Baba, 22 November 1970.

Soulful Sai Christmas Carols by Bal Vikas Children and Devotees - Fort & Walkeshwar Samithis - Friday, December 23, 2016 at Marine Drive Mumbai

Christmas reminds one of the joy, greater joy of Oneness with Supreme Divinity. The mass ‘festive’ appeal of Christmas earns a unique distinction everywhere. The festivity distinctly turns out to be a joyous celebration of the Truth of Oneness, the Truth that Jesus proclaimed to the world at large.

Like every year, this year too, Christmas Carol singing at Marine Drive was full of grace. Soulful Sai Christmas Carols were sung by the Devotees, Bal Vikas children, Gurus and Youth of Fort & Walkeshwar Samithis on Friday, December 23, 2016 at Marine Drive Mumbai for The X'mas Candle Light Nagarsankirtan. Goddess of Music reigned supreme once again singing paeans to the Nada Brahma Himself

Over 60 devotees joined together serenading The Holy Father (Bhagawan Himself) and His Chosen Son (Jesus).

"Jesus was a Messenger of God; but note this also; all of you are messengers of God. You are all His children. Jesus and His Father are One. You and God are also one, and you can become aware of it. Whatever activity you may be engaged in, wherever you may be, however you may fare, be convinced that you are ever in God, that all is Divine, that all acts are offerings to the glory of God, and thus make your lives full and fruitful."
—Sathya Sai Baba

Of righteousness, truth, peace, non-violence and love...

The campus of Dharmakshetra, Andheri (E) witnessed more than 500 students gathered to participate in different competitions organised by Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation for the students of class I to VI. The event was organised and managed by the Youth Members of Sri Sathya Sai Seva organisation, under the guidance of their senior members, in association with Times NIE and Imagica.

‘Sai Tarang 2016,’ popularly known as Children’s Festival of Joy, comprised four different competitions, which were group singing, box cricket, treasure hunt and best-out-of waste. The event, started by Sri Sathya Sai Baba, is a part of the ‘Sai Sathya Baba Bal Vikas programme,’ which is aimed at inculcating values in children for their physical, mental and spiritual development. Nimish Pandhya said, “The essence of the whole programme is based on five characteristics of human beings, which are righteousness, truth, peace, non-violence and love. The programme aims to develop these qualities in children.”

Over 15 schools across Mumbai participated in the event. All the four competitions had a message for children like the treasure hunt event taught them that people keep looking for treasures outside but the real treasure lies in the mind while best-out-of-waste proved that everything is beautiful and nothing should be wasted.

The chief guests for the event were Nimish Pandya, All India President of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation and Dr A P Jayaraman, nuclear scientist Ex-BARC was invited for the prize distribution ceremony. The other dignitaries present were Anoop Saxena, trustee and district-president, Mumbai, Kajal Chandiramani, Sneha Suresh and Keshav Prasad, singers; and Anuj Mehta, Kanchan Nighudkar and Rashi Jain, education department.

“The students have fun while learning lessons. We are trying to inculcate values through actions,” said Anoop Saxena. The first prize winner of the treasure hunt was Gopal Sharma International School, Powai; the box cricket competition was won by Light Flower High School and Swami Vivekananda High School; the best-out-of-waste by AFAC High School, Balak Vrinda High School and Sundatta High School; and the group singing competition was won by AFAC High School. All the winners were given certificates, trophy, books on value and sponsored gifts from an NGO.

Prashant Iyer, deputy general manager of Adlabs Entertainment said, “It’s a fantastic event organised by Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, which enhances the cultural bonding among students and a good way to inculcate values in children. The students’ performances were commendable and we applaud the efforts taken by the organisation and Times NIE for organising such events in a grand scale.”

He further added, “Imagica is the ultimate destination for school picnics and it brings stories to life. Around 6.5 lac students from over 4500 schools across India have visited Imagica till now.” The team of Imagica gave away free tickets to around 119 winners of the competitions and they also entertained the audience with a dance show and mascots. The organiser felicitated principals and guests. The programme concluded with vote of thanks, national anthem and prayer service.

Feedback from the Principal of The little flowers high school.

The function was very good. It gave added edge to the students something other than the regular studies. I personally believe that real education is not through books only but participation in various activities. Participation in activities teaches what is not in the books and goes beyond.

Sathya sai seva ,sai tarang organizer had done a wonderful job for our young generation. They know very well that to create an environment ,culture and ethos by the active practice of human values through the various games and activities they had taught the students self discipline, self sacrifice and selfless service to the community. Students had enjoyed all the games as well as the activities.volunteers helped the students .
It was a great opportunity to learn this new chapter of life apart from the classrooms. They mentioned that they learnt to work as a team, play with fun and enjoy, play better next time, no bitterness even though they lost the game, show and get respect, and always remain in a group. These are necessary rules when we go in a group.
Thanks
