The seventeenth edition of SAMARPAN session was held on 21st August 2016. Col. Bose... shared his wonderful experiences with Bhagawan during his talk here at Dharmakshetra.

Seva Activities - A Short Report on Ashramshalas
Sairam. About a decade back with the divine grace of Bhagwan after a detailed survey of cancer patients on footpath near Tata m...em, we from Chembur, took over serving food packets in the evenings and later daily morning milk for tube inserted patients and bought for them medicines prescribed by docs to buy from outside. We progressively distributed the Seva to other samithis for each day to different samithi. Though met challenges in between, the seva stabilised over time.
Then about five years ago, started morning breakfast for early morning shift, poor dialysis patients, after survey at Masjid where 21 dialysis machines operate in four shifts in a facility. Again followed the same each day a different Samithi model. Witnessed many miracles along the way, the chief being Swami coming in the dream of a patient's husband and consoling him and mentioning about our Seva. We also help many with medicines. Now the seva almost stabilised.
We then surveyed tribal schools after meeting additional tribal Commissioner two years ago and short listed 7 Ashramshalas for Seva ..Susarwadi, Sherol, Agayi, Piwli, Pendergol, Dahagaon and Binar. All government run, in far flung areas but within 100 kms. Total Adivasi students nearly 3000 in all of them. We served them by meeting their very basic requirements from eating plates, kitchen vessels, ights all over, note books, clothes, repairing toilets, painting the premises etc . Later we introduced periodic medical Seva with the help of Dharmakshetra medical team led by Smt Hansaben and Shri Manubhai and Bal vikas during medical.
Now after the trial period, we are progressively offering them to different samithis from 21 Aug . These kids are from remotest areas from very poor families. The poverty back home is so much that some 10 students in a school didn't go back home during holidays as the parents requested them to be kept in school only as there was nothing much to eat at home. Many such heart wrenching stories.
Going forward in a systematic way the Seva will be done by different Samithis sharing Sai Love with about 3000 kids and meeting their basic needs. All by Swamis abundant grace. He directs. He guides. He gets it done. We humbly witness doing our bit.

The 70th Independence Day of our country was a great occasion to celebrate amidst the students and staff of our adopted schools.
After witnessing and participating in the energetic 'Prabhatpheri', Flag-Hoisting Ceremony and rendering of patriotic songs, we had a hearty interaction with the Principals, teachers and children.
We attended to the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini agenda of inspecting hardware, fixing dates for the monthly trainings amongst other things and renewed the relationship with the schools for this academic year.
Distribution of Johnson & Johnson Stay Free sanitary napkins has become an important component of the Seva in these schools. The recipient girls are very happy and grateful for this service they receive from the society.
64 girls of Std 7, 8, 9 & 10 received 4 packs, for months of July, Aug, Sept, Oct 2016. We also kept 16 packs in the school for emergency use during school hours. Total of 272 packs were issued on 15.08.2016.

In pursuance of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji's request to the Sai Youth (who had gathered at Pras...hanthi Nilayam from 12th to 14th July 2016 for Sathya Sai World Youth Festival) to take part in the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan, the Sai Youth of Mumbai has decided to take up this activity on 14th August 2016.
The Sai Youth of Chembur Samithi will be doing Shramdaan on Sunday, 14th August 2016 by undertaking Cleaning activity at Remand Home section of Children’s Home, opp Anushakti Nagar Bus Depot, where we have been doing activities for the last 2 decades. In late 90’s, Swami was shown the album containing photographs of activities undertaken at Remand Home. He went through each and every photograph and expressed HIS happiness. It is only through HIS sheer blessings and grace that we have been able to continue the work at Remand Home year after year.
The Cleaning Work at Remand Home on 14th August will be from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. This will be followed by Narayana Seva to the inmates of Remand Home. All our Volunteers will also be partaking Mahaprasad with the inmates of Remand Home.
During the 3 hour period, our Volunteers will also be engaging with the Children by educating and explaining them on the importance of Cleaniness. We request maximum participation from devotees.

SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN - WALKESHWAR SAMITHI - 14.08.2016
In accordance with PM Narendra Modi's " Swachh Bharat Mission " Cleanliness Drive was conducted by Walkeshwar Samiti, on Sunday 14th August 2016, in two of our adopted schools - Balak Vrinda Education Society and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Vidyaniketan as a part of the SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN.
220 people participated in this drive - out of which most were College and School students. We had 142 volunteers from B.M .Ruia Girls C...ollege and St. Xavier's College.
The volunteers were brimming with energy and enthusiasm, and it was in no time that they had dusted, broomed, mopped and cleaned the classrooms and corridors, which looked spotlessly clean at the end!
The Sai Youth from our Samiti were involved in educating the school children about the value and importance of cleanliness, health and hygiene, through interactive videos, presentations, songs and activities.
All in all, the drive was a huge success and left everyone feeling like the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan should now become like a way of life!
