Mobile Medicare Vans blessed by Bhagawan in Prasanthi Nilayam
The Mobile Medicare Vans have arrived in great numbers - 27 vans which included 9 new vans. Indeed these vans have been supercharged by Bhagawan today in the glittering ceremony with a handful of mobile workers including Doctors, Seva Dals, Sarpanch, Anganvadi Sevikas, selected beneficiaries of SSSVIP villages and office bearers of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Maharashtra & Goa. Approximately about 700 people gathered and were blessed by Bhagawan. Bhagawan was in the auditorium for almost 45 minutes. As soon as Bhagawan entered the Poorna Chandra auditorium around 4.45 pm Veda Chanting commenced. Bhagawan was in a very good mood and spirit right from the time He entered the auditorium. All 27 vans were positioned in a circle around the auditorium with the beacon lights and the emergency blinking lights on....as if offering their love and obeisance to Bhagawan. So blessed are these vans, one can be sure that in the evolution of life they will be born as a human being in the next Avatar of Sai and will continue their seva to humanity. Bhagawan approached directly to to Mr. Indulal Shah ( Advisor To World Council ) & Dr. Keki Mistry ( Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Trust, Maharashtra ) and offered vibhuti packets to them. After lighting the lamps and inaugurating the function, the office bearers explained to Him, the various places in Maharashtra where the vans are providing free medical aid. A special illumination of two maps, one of Maharashtra and another of Mumbai were specially fabricated which clearly shows where the places where Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation is providing medical aid.
Swami then proceeded to bless each of the nine new vans, Both the donors and the recipients received tremendous Grace as Swami blessed the keys of the vans and gave padnamaskar to most of them.
Thereafter Swami officially blessed and inaugurated the Sri Sathya Sai Medicare Distribution Centre which has been set up at Sai Prem in Navi Mumbai. Swami even went through the entire album of photos which had been prepared showing the centralised pharmaceuticals distribution centre which will provide free medicines to all the mobile vans. Swami later went around the Poorna Chandra auditorium blessing all the vans and in particular Swami showed great interest in seeing the Ophthalmic van. Swami was also shown a ten minutes video which had been taken from various parts of Maharashtra showing the great benefit which the patients have received since the Mobile Project started. As Swami returned to the front of the auditorium, the report of the mobile project was given to Him. Shri Nimish G Pandya, District President of Mumbai, spoke for a few minutes, where He thanked Bhagawan for His immense Grace He has showered on the state of Maharashtra by giving them this unique opportunity to be a part of the Divine Mission. He mentioned that the number of medical vans will grow with Swami's blessings stressing the fact that it was indeed Swami who was the 'doer' and that we are mere instruments in His hands. The function concluded by offering Aarti to Bhagawan. Bhagawan then proceeded to Sai Kulwant Hall where He blessed the Jaipur Foot Camp group of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation Maharashtra & Goa. The main objective of this camp is to rehabilitate the physically challenged, particularly the resource-less, enabling them to regain their mobility, self respect and human dignity so that they become self-reliant, normal and productive members of the community. Beside the above mentioned benefit this camp will engage in providing artificial limbs and other rehabilitation aids and appliances to amputees. A demo was shown in the Sai Kulwant Hall where a few beneficiaries were made to put on the artificial limbs. This Jaipur Foor Camp will also provide Calipers, modified footwear and other rehabilitation aids and appliances to polio afflicted and other disabled persons, Wheel Chairs where ever Jaipur foot is not applicable and special shoes and other aids to persons suffering from leprosy.
