The Mobile Medicare Vans have arrived in great numbers - 27 vans which included 9 new vans. Indeed these vans have been supercharged by Bhagawan today in the glittering ceremony with a handful of mobile workers including Doctors, Seva Dals, Sarpanch, Anganvadi Sevikas, selected beneficiaries of SSSVIP villages and office bearers of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Maharashtra & Goa. Approximately about 700 people gathered and were blessed by Bhagawan. Bhagawan was in the auditorium for almost 45 minutes.

As soon as Bhagawan entered the Poorna Chandra auditorium around 4.45 pm Veda Chanting commenced. Bhagawan was in a very good mood and spirit right from the time He entered the auditorium. All 27 vans were positioned in a circle around the auditorium with the beacon lights and the emergency blinking lights on....as if offering their love and obeisance to Bhagawan. So blessed are these vans, one can be sure that in the evolution of life they will be born as a human being in the next Avatar of Sai and will continue their seva to humanity.

Bhagawan approached directly to to Mr. Indulal Shah ( Advisor To World Council ) & Dr. Keki Mistry ( Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Trust, Maharashtra ) and offered vibhuti packets to them. After lighting the lamps and  inaugurating the function, the office bearers explained to Him, the various places in Maharashtra where the vans are providing free medical aid.

A special illumination of two maps, one of Maharashtra and another of Mumbai were specially fabricated which clearly shows where the places where Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation is providing medical aid.

Swami then proceeded to bless each of the nine new vans, Both the donors and the recipients received tremendous Grace as Swami blessed the keys of the vans and gave padnamaskar to most of them.

Thereafter Swami officially blessed and inaugurated the Sri Sathya Sai Medicare Distribution Centre which has been set up at Sai Prem in Navi Mumbai. Swami even went through the entire album of photos which had been prepared showing the centralised pharmaceuticals distribution centre which will provide free medicines to all the mobile vans.

Swami later went around the Poorna Chandra auditorium blessing all the vans and in particular Swami showed great interest in seeing the Ophthalmic van.

Swami was also shown a ten minutes video which had been taken from various parts of Maharashtra showing the great benefit which the patients have received since the Mobile Project started.

As Swami returned to the front of the auditorium, the report of the mobile project was given to Him.

Shri Nimish G Pandya, District President of Mumbai, spoke for a few minutes, where He thanked Bhagawan for His immense Grace He has showered on the state of Maharashtra by giving them this unique opportunity to be a part of the Divine Mission. He mentioned that the number of  medical vans will grow with Swami's blessings stressing the fact that it was indeed Swami who was the 'doer' and that we are mere instruments in His hands.

The function concluded by offering Aarti to Bhagawan. Bhagawan then proceeded to Sai Kulwant Hall where He blessed the Jaipur Foot Camp group of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation Maharashtra & Goa.

The main objective of this camp is to rehabilitate the physically challenged, particularly the resource-less, enabling them to regain their mobility, self respect and human dignity so that they become self-reliant, normal and productive members of the community. Beside the above mentioned benefit this camp will engage in providing artificial limbs and other rehabilitation aids and appliances to amputees. A demo was shown in the Sai Kulwant Hall where a few beneficiaries were made to put on the artificial limbs.

Aashadi Ekadashi at Prasanthi Nilayam -Darshan Update - 19.07.2010

Last updated @ 2035 hrs. IST, July 19

Mon, July 19, 2010: With Maharashtra's 'iconic' cultural symbol, Ashadi Ekadashi, in the offing, Puttaparthi is already smelling the festive flavour. Being the first day of the proposed four day festivity, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Maharashtra has organised to assemble over two hundred beneficiaries of the Jaipur Foot Camp, as part of the Medical Seva, that had been on from July 14 to July 18 in Prasanthi Nilayam.

Emerging at 1730 hrs. to a poornakumbha swagatham by devotees from Maharashtra, Bhagawan was ushered into the hall in a Vedam procession led by the Youth of Maharashtra. Completing a full round of darshan, Bhagawan came onstage at 1745 hrs. , round of Ganesha, not before blessing many, enroute, in the lower portico. Veda chanting reached a higher pitch as Bhagawan lighted the lamp marking the commencement of Ashadi celebrations 2010.

Veda chanting stopped soon as Mr. Nimish Pandya took over, introducing the significance of the occasion. Calling the occasion 'extra special', wherein Bhagawan showers His Divine benediction, Mr. Pandya sounded that in His Divine presence it is 'everyday festivity'. These are the occasions that come as 'extra special', said Mr. Pandya while expressing gratitude to Bhagawan for the love and guidance unto the the hundreds who were specially seated, recipients of His touch of grace! Two hundred and twenty nine lives, both men and women from neighbouring districts, have been affected out of this camp, celebrating 85th year of His Advent!

As Bhagawan sat onstage, these beneficiaries were brought unto the dais to receive blessings. Two lucky souls, who were given artificial limbs demonstrated 'walking' without any help, as normal as they would otherways be, to a round of applause from the assemblage of devotees. They were lucky to demonstrate the same in presence of the Mighty One, the "Master Mind" of the "Fairy Tale" of their lives! ...and Bhagawan sat smiling at their good fortune!

It was 1810 hrs. and Bhagawan indicated for bhajans to begin. Half-an-hour into the session, at 1840 hrs, Bhagawan indicated for Mangala Arathi, upon which, Bhagawan moved off the dais to retire to Yajur Mandiram, at 1845 hrs.

Earlier, upon emerging from " His Residence" at 1700 hrs., Bhagawan moved into the Poornachandra Auditorium, wherein 29 Medical Ambulances were kept ready for Divine Blessings. These Ambulances, twenty of them, were already pressed into service activities, going into different districts in Maharashtra rendering service to the needy, while nine of them were new ones. Blessing the project, Bhagawan went around the fleet of ambulances before getting into one of them 'supervising' the facilities inside. A video show on the medical seva was arranged and Bhagawan sat through watching the presentation. Hundreds of men and women who are active in medical seva were also present during the occasion. After spending almost half-an-hour inside the auditorium Bhagawan moved off, moving into Sai Kulwant Hall. II Samastha Lokaaha Sukhino Bhavanthu II
